It is a Dhammayuttika Sect temple on a small mountain that is peaceful and beautiful. This temple was a place for the Buddhist Lent of Luang Pu La Khempatto, a monk well-known for meditation. The villagers generally call him "Luang Pu La."
Khempatta Chedi is an inverted bell-shaped pagoda, over 22 meters high, decorated with high-class tiles from Italy. The ground floor is a hall for various religious activities, while the upper floor is a museum exhibiting the history, works, and necessities of Luang Pu La. In addition, the museum enshrines the monk's ashes and wax figure for Buddhists to worship. Wat Banphot Khiri or Wat Phu Chor Kor is an important religious place for Mukdahan people and other Buddhists. Moreover, it is a place for religious activities and practicing the Dharma.
